INITIAL COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION: During this visit which is usually about 60 minutes, we will review your full medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and family history, which is important to obtain at this first visit because certain conditions such as hypo/hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and anemia (among many others), can present with psychiatric symptoms.
Please be advised that some cases may be more complicated than others especially with children and adolescents and may require additional sessions which will be discussed with you during your initial appointment.
25-30-MINUTE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT FOLLOW-UP SESSION: This is a follow-up session usually about once per month, during which your symptoms and psychopharmacologic treatment plan will be discussed thoroughly, any appropriate changes to your medication regimen will be made.
50-75 MINUTE INITIAL EVALUATION: Initial intake session for children, adolescents, and adults with Dr. Celosse.
PSYCHOLOGICAL SESSIONS/APPOINTMENTS: Follow-up sessions with Dr. Celosse run 40-45 minutes.
TELEPHONE CALLS (MORE THAN 5 MINUTES): Prorated according to actual time
MISSED APPOINTMENTS: Time scheduled
INSURANCE: Please note that in order to provide you with the highest-quality personalized service and to ensure the full confidentiality of your medical records, Ocean View Neuropsychiatry does not contract with any insurance providers (or medicare), we are considered “out-of-network” providers for those with PPO insurance plans.
If you plan to use your insurance benefits, it is in your best interest to check with your insurance provider prior to your first appointment in order to understand the full details of your out-of-network mental health benefits. We do not submit insurance claims, but we do provide a reimbursement form or what is commonly referred to as a SUPERBILL as noted above that you may be able to use to submit a claim with your insurance.
These plans vary widely and typically may reimburse patients anywhere from 30% to 80% of the total cost of each of our sessions depending on your deductibles. You may want to ask your insurance carrier to what extent they reimburse for the following psychiatric services rendered by an out-of-network doctor:
- 90792 (interactive initial psychiatric evaluation)
- 90833+99214 (30 minute psychotherapy and medication management session)
PAYMENT POLICY: All services are paid for in full by the client at the beginning of each session via credit card, cash, or check.
If requested, we will be happy to provide you with a reimbursement form or “SUPERBILL” which you can present to your insurance provider in order to seek partial reimbursement for psychiatric services rendered.
